KOOSA Kids are on the lookout for individuals who share our passion and commitment for delivering high quality childcare, playwork and children's activities. This role is part time, term time only, working Monday to Friday from 3.00pm - 6pm.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the day to day management of the After School Club as an After School Club Playwork Childcare Supervisor at the club at All Saints Junior School, Fleet GU51.
- Print off daily registers & manage safe and secure sign in / sign out process each day, communicating effectively with school staff & parents.
- Develop a thorough understanding of KOOSA Kids programme of activity and deliver activities accordingly to children each afternoon, directing colleagues as appropriate.
- Be aware of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs (Physical, Behaviour, Dietary).
- Purchase healthy snacks for the After School Club.
- Understand relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding, and communicate any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead in a timely fashion.
- Ensure the After School Club operates to Ofsted and KOOSA Kids policies & procedures at all times.
- Carry out daily risk assessments & complete all relevant operational paperwork.
- Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day. Carry out cleaning duties as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
- You ideally have a minimum 2 years managerial / supervisory experience in a childcare, early years or playwork setting.
- A Level 3 NVQ / Diploma in Childcare or Playwork (or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential.
- Experience of working in a Primary School, Pre-School or Nursery (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Manager or Assistant) is desirable.
- Be reliable and passionate.
- Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 - 11 years.
