KOOSA Kids are on the lookout for individuals who share our passion and commitment for delivering high quality childcare, playwork and children’s activities. This After School Club Childcare Playwork Assistant role is part time, term time only, working Monday to Thursday from 2:45 - 6:00 pm.

As an After School Club Assistant, you will actively and enthusiastically assist the After School Club Manager in the safe and organised running of the After School Club. Following direction from the After School Club Manager, you will assist in the delivery of the scheduled programme of activities, whilst providing a safe and secure environment for the children in your care, enabling them to explore, grow and have fun.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively and enthusiastically assist the After School Club Manager in the safe and organised running of the After School Club at All Saints Junior School in Fleet.
  • Help set up, organise and deliver a range of activities daily and pro‑actively encourage children to participate.
  • Assist in the preparation, serving and tidying away of 'snack time'.
  • Have awareness of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs (Physical, Behaviour, Dietary).
  • Develop strong relationships with all children at the After School Club ensuring every child has as much fun at the club as possible.
  • Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding.
  • Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

  • You will have a passion / interest in working within a childcare, early years or playwork setting.
  • Have a fun and energetic nature.
  • Be reliable and able to effectively communicate with colleagues and children alike.
  • Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 - 11 years.
  • Opportunities to gain qualifications and further growth & development will be available for candidates who match our ambitions.
  • Full training and inductions will be provided to all After School Club Assistants.

This role would suit somebody with experience of working in a Primary School, Pre‑School or Nursery, e.g. a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Assistant, or someone looking to move into the childcare industry.
