Overview
As a Breakfast Club Childcare Assistant, you will actively and enthusiastically assist the Breakfast Club Supervisor in the safe and organised running of the Breakfast Club. Following direction from the Breakfast Club Supervisor, you will assist in providing breakfast as well as the delivery of the scheduled programme of activities for the children attending the breakfast club. You will ensure all activities are delivered to KOOSA Kids and Ofsted standards at all times. You will provide a safe and secure environment for the children in your care to explore, grow and have FUN!
Responsibilities
- Actively and enthusiastically assist the Breakfast Club Supervisor in the safe and organised running of our Breakfast Club at Buryfields Infant School Odiham, Hook (RG29).
- Assist in the preparation, serving and tidying away of the children\\\’s breakfasts.
- Have awareness of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs (Physical, Behaviour, Dietary).
- Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding.
- Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day.
- Would suit somebody with experience of working in a Primary School, Pre-School or Nursery, e.g. a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Assistant, or someone looking to move into the childcare industry. You will have a passion / interest in working within a childcare, early years or playwork setting.
- Be inspirational, bringing fun and creativeness to the team.
- Have a fun and energetic nature.
- Be reliable and passionate over everything else.
- Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 – 11 years.
- Be a people person with fantastic communication skills.
- Have the ability to be cleared for an enhanced DBS check.
