KOOSA Kids are now recruiting for a Breakfast Club Childcare Playwork Assistant at our breakfast club at Lovelace Primary School in Chessington (KT9). This Breakfast Club Childcare Playwork Assistant role is part time, term time only, working Monday to Thursday from 7.30 - 8.30am.
The role
As a Breakfast Club Assistant, you will actively and enthusiastically assist the Breakfast Club Manager in the safe and organised running of the Breakfast Club. Following direction from the Breakfast Club Manager, assist in providing breakfast as well as the delivery of the scheduled programme of activities for the children attending the breakfast club. Enabling them to explore, grow and have FUN!
Key Responsibilities
- Actively and enthusiastically assist the Breakfast Club Manager in the safe and organised running of the Breakfast Club at Lovelace Primary School in Chessington (KT9)
- Assist in the preparation, serving and tidying away of the children's breakfasts
- Have awareness of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs (Physical, Behaviour, Dietary)
- Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding
- Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day
This role would suit somebody with experience of working in a Primary School, Pre-School or Nursery, e.g. a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Assistant, or someone looking to move into the childcare industry.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- You will have a passion / interest in working within a childcare, early years or playwork setting
- Have a fun and energetic nature
- Be reliable and able to effectively communicate with colleagues and children alike
- Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 - 11 years
