KOOSA Kids are now recruiting for an After School Club Childcare Playwork Supervisor at our after school club at Birch Hill Primary School in Bracknell (RG12). The role is part time, term time only, working Monday to Friday from 3 - 6pm.
Responsibilities- Overall responsibility for the day to day management of the After School Club as an After School Club Playwork Childcare Supervisor.
- Print off daily registers & manage safe and secure sign in & sign out process each day, communicating effectively with school staff & parents at all times.
- Develop a thorough understanding of KOOSA Kids programme of activity and deliver activities accordingly to children each afternoon, directing colleagues as appropriate.
- Be aware of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs (Physical, Behaviour, Dietary).
- Purchase healthy snacks for the After School Club.
- Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding, and communicate any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead in a timely fashion.
- Ensure the After School Club operates to Ofsted and KOOSA Kids policies & procedures at all times.
- Carry out daily risk assessments & complete all relevant operational paperwork.
- Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day. Carry out cleaning duties as necessary.
- You ideally have min 2 years managerial / supervisory experience in a childcare, early years or playwork setting.
- A Level 3 NVQ / Diploma in Childcare or Playwork (or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential.
- Would suit somebody with experience of working in a Primary School, Pre-School or Nursery, e.g. a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Manager or Assistant.
- Be reliable and passionate over everything else.
- Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 - 11 years.
