Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively and enthusiastically assist the After School Club Manager in the safe and organised running of the After School Club at King Athelstan Primary School in Kingston upon Thames, KT1.
- Help set up, organise and deliver a range of activities daily and pro-actively encourage children to participate.
- Assist in the preparation, serving and tidying away of 'snack time'.
- Have awareness of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs (Physical, Behaviour, Dietary).
- Develop strong relationships with all children at the After School Club ensuring every child has as much FUN at the club as possible.
- Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding.
- Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
- You will have a passion / interest in working within a childcare, early years or playwork setting.
- Have a fun and energetic nature.
- Be reliable and able to effectively communicate with colleagues and children alike.
- Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 - 11 years.

- Full training and inductions will be provided to all After School Club Assistants.
This role would suit somebody with experience of working in a Primary School, Pre-School or Nursery, e.g. a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Assistant, or someone looking to move into the childcare industry.
