After School Club Assistant
Location: Tolworth School - Tolworth
Compensation: £11.25 - £12.75 / hour
Key Responsibilities
- Actively and enthusiastically assist the After School Club Manager in the safe and organized running of the After School Club at The Tolworth School, KT6
- Help set up, organize and deliver a range of activities daily and proactively encourage children to participate
- Assist in the preparation, serving and tidying away of 'snack time'
- Have awareness of and maintain sensitivity for any children with additional needs (Physical, Behavior, Dietary)
- Develop strong relationships with all children at the After School Club ensuring every child has as much FUN at the club as possible
- Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding
- Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- You will have a passion / interest in working within a childcare, early years or playwork setting
- Have a fun and energetic nature
- Be reliable and able to effectively communicate with colleagues and children alike
- Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 - 11 years
- Opportunities to gain qualifications and further growth & development will be available for candidates who match our ambitions
- Full training and inductions will be provided to all After School Club Assistants
This role would suit somebody with experience of working in a Primary School, Pre-School or Nursery, e.g. a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Assistant, or someone looking to move into the childcare industry.
