We are recruiting for an After School Club Childcare Playwork Assistant at Onslow Infant School, Guildford, Surrey (GU2). This is a part-time, term-time-only position.
The Role
As an After School Club Childcare Playwork Assistant, you will support the After School Club Manager and other Assistants in running the club safely and efficiently, actively engaging children aged 4-11 in various activities. You will help deliver activities such as Arts & Crafts, Sports, and Team Games, ensuring a safe, fun, and enriching environment that promotes exploration and growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the safe and organized running of the club alongside the Manager.
- Help set up, organize, and deliver daily activities, encouraging participation.
- Assist with snack time preparations and tidying.
- Be sensitive to children with additional needs.
- Build strong relationships with children to ensure they have fun.
- Understand and adhere to Ofsted standards and KOOSA Kids policies, including safeguarding.
- Ensure activity areas are left clean and tidy daily.
Skills & Experience
- Interest or experience in childcare, early years, or playwork.
- Energetic and fun personality.
- Reliable with good communication skills.
- Ability to engage with children aged 4-11.
