We are now recruiting for a Breakfast Club Childcare Playwork Assistant at our breakfast club at Knaphill Lower School, Woking, GU21. This role is part time, term time only, working Monday to Friday from 7.30 - 8.50am.
The role: You will actively and enthusiastically assist the Breakfast Club Manager in the safe and organised running of the Breakfast Club. Following direction from the Manager, assist in providing breakfast and delivering the scheduled programme of activities for the children attending the club, enabling them to explore, grow and have fun!
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively and enthusiastically assist the Breakfast Club Manager in the safe and organised running of the Breakfast Club at Knaphill Lower School.
- Assist in the preparation, serving and tidying away of the children's breakfasts.
- Have awareness of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs (Physical, Behaviour, Dietary).
- Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding.
- Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
- You have a passion/interest in working within a childcare, early years or playwork setting.
- Have a fun and energetic nature.
- Be reliable and able to effectively communicate with colleagues and children alike.
- Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 - 11 years.
