Our team of Children's Activity Coordinators are very much the engine room of our business. Fully supported by our Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to learn every detail that supports our ability to deliver high quality activities and childcare to school age children. With a particular focus on ensuring our breakfast, after school and holiday clubs are suitably resourced and prepared to operate each day, as well as gaining hands on experience by directly managing our clubs on a daily basis, it is fair to say in this exciting and developmental role, no day will ever be the same!
This full time position offers an exciting mixture of office based work and hands-on childcare experience at our breakfast, after school and holiday clubs. A bespoke on-the-job training programme will allow you to develop the skills and knowledge to confidently manage our clubs in line with KOOSA Kids and Ofsted requirements.
Fully Ofsted registered, KOOSA Kids are one of the UK's leading providers of holiday, after school and breakfast club childcare for children aged 4 to 13, directly operating over 50 clubs across Berkshire, Hampshire, Greater London & Surrey, employing 400+ staff and a commitment to delivering outstanding quality, affordable childcare.
Previous experience of working with children is beneficial but not essential. A clear desire to work, relate and engage with children aged 4-13 years and to deliver high quality childcare is a must. A full driving licence with access to your own car each day is essential.
Hours
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Operations Manager, assist with the preparation of operational resources and paperwork, equipment inventories, activity programme development and marketing of provision to parents and schools
- Directly manage a breakfast, after school and/or holiday club each day, including the day-to day management of club staff
- Provide a safe and secure environment for the children in your care to explore, grow, inspire and have FUN
- Fully supported by our Training & Development Manager, actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards and KOOSA Kids internal policies and procedures
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience of working in the Wraparound / Playwork sector, in a Primary School, Pre-School, Nursery or Sports setting desirable but not essential.
- Full driving license with access to your own vehicle essential
- Be inspirational, bringing fun and creativeness to the team
- Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 - 13 years
- Be a people person with strong communication skills
- Be able to motivate others to deliver to the highest standard
- Have the ability to be cleared for an enhanced DBS check
