We are now recruiting for a Breakfast & After School Club Childcare Supervisor at our club at Birch Hill Primary School in Bracknell (RG12). This role is part time, term time only, working Monday to Friday from 7.30 β 8.30am at the Breakfast Club and 3.00 - 6.00pm at the After School Club.
The role
As Breakfast & After School Club Childcare Supervisor, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations and management of a breakfast and after school club. Managing and directing a small team, you will ensure the safe and organised running of the clubs, fully supported by your Regional Manager and a dedicated Operations Team at Head Office. Every morning and afternoon, you will supervise the breakfast and after school club where you and your team will directly organise, deliver and participate in activities with the children in your care. You will ensure all activities are delivered to KOOSA Kids and Ofsted standards at all times. You will provide a safe and secure environment for the children in your care to explore, grow and have FUN!
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of both the breakfast and after school club at Birch Hill Primary School in Bracknell (RG12).
- Print off daily registers & manage safe and secure 'sign in & sign out' process each day, communicating effectively with school staff & parents at all times.
- Develop a thorough understanding of KOOSA Kids programme of activity and deliver childcare activities accordingly to children each morning and afternoon, directing colleagues as appropriate.
- Have awareness of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs (Physical, Behaviour, Dietary).
- Purchase healthy breakfast and snacks for the clubs.
- Actively develop a thorough understanding of, and ensure the Breakfast & After School Clubs operate to relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies & procedures at all times, including safeguarding children.
- Carry out daily risk assessments & complete all relevant operational paperwork.
- Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each session. Carry out cleaning duties as necessary.
- Provide a safe & secure environment for the children in your care.
- Enable children to explore, grow and have FUN!
Skills & Experience
- You ideally have minimum 2 yearsβ managerial / supervisory experience in a childcare, early years or playwork setting.
- A Level 3 NVQ / Diploma in Childcare or Playwork (or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential.
- Would suit somebody with experience of working in a Primary School, Pre-School or Nursery, e.g. a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Manager or Assistant.
- Be reliable and passionate over everything else.
- Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 - 11 years.
