We are now recruiting for an After School Club Childcare Playwork Assistant at our after school club at Southfield Primary School in Chiswick, London (W4). This role is part time, term time only, working Monday to Friday from 3.00 – 6.00 pm.
Key Responsibilities:- Actively and enthusiastically assist the After School Club Manager in the safe and organised running of the After School Club.
- Help set up, organise and deliver a range of activities daily and pro‑actively encourage children to participate.
- Assist in the preparation, serving and tidying away of ‘snack time’.
- Have awareness of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs (Physical, Behaviour, Dietary).
- Develop strong relationships with all children ensuring every child has as much FUN at the club as possible.
- Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding.
- Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day.
- You will have a passion / interest in working within a childcare, early years or playwork setting.
- Have a fun and energetic nature.
- Be reliable and able to effectively communicate with colleagues and children alike.
- Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 – 11 years.

This role would suit somebody with experience of working in a Primary School, Pre‑School or Nursery, e.g. a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Assistant, or someone looking to move into the childcare industry.
