HRS’ Consulting and Delivery Unit drives end‑to‑end customer success by combining strategic advisory expertise with high‑quality implementation. They consult clients to design solutions, deliver outcomes, and ensure a measurable impact for HRS’ customers across every engagement.

POSITION

We are looking for a Director Payment Consulting (all genders) who will lead Payment Solution Consultants across key markets (e.g., DACH, US, China) and manage the sales process for HRS payment solutions from opportunity handover from sales to transition to the implementation team. The goal is to maximize conversion rates, reduce time‑to‑market, ensuring efficient, impactful customer solutions. The leader will focus on streamlining processes and improving team performance to consult, design, and deliver seamless payment solutions globally. This role will report to VP‑level within HRS’ Enterprise Solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Leadership: Lead and manage a team of solution consultants who own the sales of the HRS payment solutions. Oversee and measure the sales funnel for PAY products, ensuring proper staffing and resource allocation. Measure key metrics and define initiatives to improve team performance, continuously refining the blueprint for success. Define and orchestrate internal and external governance processes, including collaboration with issuers.
  • Oversee Strategic Client Engagement: Partner with clients and product management to understand complex payment, ERP, and procurement system requirements, delivering tailored solution designs that drive efficiency and value. Lead technical discussions with top clients and internal/external stakeholders, presenting payment solution architectures that align with client’s IT system setup. Serve as the main technical liaison during the pre‑sales process, ensuring solutions meet client requirements and industry best practices.
  • Establish a sustainable Cross‑Functional Collaboration system: Partner with the Sales Organization to support customer acquisition, positioning payment integration as a key differentiator, continuously optimizing the sales process. Align with Product Management to develop new fintech solutions based on customer feedback and market trends. Collaborate with Customer Implementation & Operations to ensure the smooth implementation and adoption of payment solutions. Work closely with the Commercial Partnership Lead to drive partnerships that expand HRS’s payment capabilities and enhance its ecosystem influence.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in payment solutions, ERP integration, or fintech within a B2B SaaS or corporate travel environment.
  • Proven experience leading teams in B2B sales enablement, supporting commercial teams in positioning and designing payment solutions to enterprise clients.
  • Deep knowledge of ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle NetSuite), expense management platforms (Concur, Emburse, Cytric), and procurement tools (Coupa, SAP Ariba).
  • Expertise in virtual cards, payment automation, reconciliation workflows, and financial compliance.
  • Experience working with issuers like AirPlus, Citi, and global financial service providers to optimize corporate payment flows.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Project management experience, including managing client expectations and cross‑functional teams.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Proficiency in German language is a strong advantage.
