We are looking for sales talent with a relentless drive to win and the ambition to make a lasting impact on the global SaaS industry. This is a trainee role, ideally suited for a current BDR who is seeking a structured path toward becoming an Account Executive. In this role, you will be trained in the Kontent.ai sales methodology and gain hands‑on experience across the full sales cycle. The successful candidate will closely shadow our Vice President of Sales, gaining direct exposure to strategic deal‑making, pipeline management, and executive‑level sales leadership as part of their progression to a fully fledged Account Executive role. Reporting to their regional Vice President of Sales, the Account Executive will be responsible for driving new annual recurring revenue and managing SMB opportunities.
You will work closely with an experienced and highly motivated Marketing and Customer Success team. This is a remote position. While we do have offices, you are not required to be in them.
What will you do?
- Drive new business: identify and engage potential clients (new logo acquisition) to expand the customer base and contribute to overall revenue growth.
- Generate leads: focus on outbound efforts and lead generation, helping to build a steady pipeline of potential clients and sales opportunities.
- Lead qualification: qualify incoming leads and determine whether they are a good fit or not.
- Advance deals through the funnel: engage prospects through discovery calls, tailored product demonstrations, and value‑based conversations that move opportunities toward close.
- Participate in industry events: attend and represent the company at trade shows, webinars, and networking events to engage prospects and expand the client base.

About You
- 2–4 years of experience in outbound business development (BDR/SDR or similar), ideally within B2B SaaS or digital technology.
- A demonstrable track record of prospecting, creating meetings, and contributing to pipeline.
- Curiosity and discipline around sales fundamentals: discovery, qualification, and value‑based conversations.
- Drive to learn how to manage a full sales cycle for small to mid‑market customers, with guidance and mentorship from senior colleagues.
- Strong communication skills, meaning you can explain complex concepts clearly and tailor messages to different audiences.
- Comfortable presenting on discovery calls, product walkthroughs, and follow‑up conversations with prospects.
- Interest in modern web and digital technologies (SaaS, CMS, commerce, marketing tech). You don’t need to be an expert, but you are eager to learn.
- A proactive, growth‑oriented mindset: you seek feedback, iterate, and continuously build your sales capability.
- Willingness to occasionally travel for team events, customer meetings, or industry conferences when required.
