Job Title: Site Manager – Timber Frame New Build (Design & Build Project) Location: Havant Start Date: September 2025 Duration: 12 months (potential to go permanent) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Employment Type: Contract (with view to permanent) About the Project: We’re seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a high-spec timber frame new build — a 2-storey, 9-bedroom residence with brick façade, built to Passivhaus standards. This is a design and build project commissioned by a charity, offering a rare opportunity to work on something both technically interesting and socially meaningful. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee day-to-day site operations from groundworks through to completion * Ensure compliance with Passivhaus principles and sustainable building methods * Manage subcontractors, materials, scheduling, and quality control * Coordinate with design team and stakeholders throughout the build * Implement and manage Information Testing Plans (a detailed snagging process) * Uphold health & safety standards and ensure project stays on budget and on time * Report progress to clients, charity representatives, and senior management Requirements: * Proven experience managing timber frame residential projects * Background in design & build contract delivery * Familiarity with Passivhaus or low-energy building standards * Prior work on charity-led or socially focused construction projects is a plus * Strong knowledge of Information Testing Plans or similar snag sheet systems * Excellent communication and leadership skills * SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certificates (or working toward) To apply, please either apply directly via this advert or email your CV and a short cover note outlining your relevant experience
