Want a Senior Architect role with strong flexibility, varied sectors, and a substantial workload behind it?

Konker is recruiting for a Senior Architect to join a long-established Nottingham architecture practice.

Strong pipeline, a growing local team, and the kind of hybrid setup that actually works: 2-3 days a week in the office, the rest from home.

You'll work across public sector, commercial, education and residential projects.

A varied sector mix, with the technical depth and complexity to keep things interesting for someone who wants more than a one-sector remit.

The Senior Architect role, day to day

  • Leading live projects across multiple RIBA stages, from concept and design through to delivery on site.
  • Holding senior client relationships and representing the practice on live jobs.
  • Producing and reviewing design and technical packages, with strong oversight of quality.
  • Coordinating with contractors and consultants across live schemes.
  • Mentoring project architects and junior team members.
  • Contributing to bids, fee proposals, and the wider growth of the studio.

Why this Senior Architect role in Nottingham is worth a look

  • Genuine hybrid flexibility. 2-3 days in the office, the rest from home. A setup that actually works around a life outside of work.
  • A varied workload across sectors with substantial complexity behind it.
  • A business with the structure and support to back senior progression.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, plus a festive shutdown.
  • Professional membership support, in-house coaching and mentoring.
  • Health cash plan, company pension, paid volunteering leave.
  • Early finish incentives when practice targets are hit.
  • Regular salary reviews and benchmarking.

What we're looking for in a Senior Architect

  • ARB registered, RIBA Part 3 qualified.
  • Several years of UK post-qualification experience, with a track record of running projects.
  • Strong Revit skills across live project delivery.
  • Confident client-facing, comfortable across technical, commercial and contractual conversations.
  • Experience across some of the target sectors: public sector, commercial, education or residential.
  • Interest in mentoring and shaping the direction of the team locally.
