Manchester Full-Time On-site

Salary up to & around £80,000 + benefits

Looking for your next position within the critical infrastructure environment?

Are you a Senior or Principal level Electrical Design Engineer who wants to move into a more leadership / PM position?

An established engineering business operating across the data centre and critical infrastructure sectors is looking for an M&E Design Lead to support the delivery of complex, mission-critical projects.

This role is suited to someone who understands data centre design, can guide technical decisions and enjoys coordinating solutions rather than spending their time producing detailed designs.

An electrical bias is preferred, although a strong understanding of multidisciplinary M&E systems is essential. If you are in one of the following positions, this role may suit you well!

Who might this suit?

We're keen to speak with M&E Design Leads, Data Centre Engineers, Technical Leads, Principal Electrical Engineers and experienced Design Managers with direct data centre/critical infrastructure experience.

Candidates could come from data centre consultancies, specialist M&E contractors, critical infrastructure providers or businesses delivering mission-critical environments.

You’ll need a sound engineering background, broad M&E knowledge and the confidence to advise customers, coordinate different disciplines and think on your feet.

If you’re at Senior level or above within Building Services Design, either in a typical M&E consultancy or data centre environment, I’d love to hear from you!

Whats require from the role?

  • Leading the coordination of M&E design deliverables and interfaces.
  • Advising customers and project teams on design requirements and technical solutions.
  • Identifying project needs, resolving issues and engaging external specialists where required.
  • Supporting the delivery of coordinated, practical engineering solutions across major projects.

What's on offer?

  • Up to and around £80,000, depending on experience.
  • Exposure to major data centre and critical infrastructure projects, both small and large.
  • A stable, growing business with varied projects and opportunities for long-term development.
