An established and well-respected structural and civil engineering consultancy in the Staffordshire area is looking to appoint a Chartered Structural Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a smaller, technically strong practice where skills are valued, and progression opportunity is real and tangible. You’ll be delivering across a varied portfolio of residential and commercial projects. The Role

  • You’ll take ownership of projects from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, architects and contractors.
  • The position offers a blend of managerial responsibility and hands-on design and project autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Structural design in steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
  • Surveying and reporting and attendance at meetings/site visits.
  • Production of calculations, drawings and specifications.
  • Project management of small to medium-sized schemes.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members.

About You

  • Chartered with IStructE or ICE essential.
  • Proven experience working within a UK consultancy environment.
  • Commercially aware with the ability to manage workload independently.
  • Confident communicator who enjoys being client facing and work winning.
  • Experience using industry-standard design software e.g. AutoCAD; Tekla.
