You’re an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor who wants a role with variety, responsibility and influence.

This role would suit someone who enjoys the full mix of commercial building surveying: contract administration, project management, dilapidations, technical due diligence, defect diagnosis, planned maintenance, licence to alter work and client-facing advice.

You’ll be joining a respected property consultancy with a strong pipeline of commercial instructions across offices, industrial, logistics, retail and mixed-use property.

You’ll take ownership of a broad range of building surveying and project consultancy instructions, including:

  • Contract administration on refurbishment, repair and improvement projects
  • Specification writing, tendering and JCT contract management
  • Defect diagnosis inspections and technical reporting
  • Technical due diligence and pre-acquisition surveys
  • Client meetings, fee proposals and project reporting

You’ll also play a key role in supporting junior surveyors, reviewing work, helping with APC development and contributing to the wider growth of the team.

This is a role for someone who wants more than just report writing. You’ll be trusted to lead instructions, advise clients directly, manage your own workload and influence how projects are delivered.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders in the business, while also having the opportunity to develop client relationships, win new work and shape the direction of the building surveying team.

The company is particularly interested in people with experience across commercial property, industrial estates, offices, retail, business parks, refurbishment projects or landlord-side instructions.

Strong commercial building surveying experience, good understanding of JCT contracts and contract administration, experience with dilapidations, defect analysis and technical reports, ability to manage projects from initial brief through to completion, experience mentoring or supporting junior surveyors would be useful, a practical, commercially aware approach to building surveying.

This would suit a Chartered Building Surveyor who enjoys both professional work and project delivery and wants a role where they can take ownership rather than be boxed into one narrow service line.
