Konker is recruiting for an AJ100, RIBA Chartered architectural practice that has been recognised in the AJ100 for the last 3–4 years. As they continue to grow their Manchester office, they're looking to appoint an experienced Architectural Technologist to join the team. This is an opportunity to become one of the key members of a growing office, working on a major residential project in London while being based in Manchester. The project is expected to run for the next 1–2 years and focuses on high-rise residential and cladding remediation.

They're looking for someone who enjoys technical delivery, is confident working on live projects and has experience navigating the Gateway process under the Building Safety Act (BSA). The Manchester studio is currently a close-knit team of three, with a fourth member joining shortly. This appointment will become the fifth member of the office, making it a great opportunity for someone who wants to play an important role in the continued growth of the team.

To be suitable for this position, you'll ideally have:

  • Several years' experience as an Architectural Technologist.
  • Strong technical delivery experience.
  • Experience on residential projects, ideally high-rise.
  • Knowledge of cladding remediation projects.
  • Experience working through the Building Safety Act Gateway process.
  • Excellent Revit skills (essential).
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to work independently.

The role is primarily based in Manchester, with only occasional travel to London when required.
