Konker is recruiting for an Architectural Technologist to join the residential team at one of South Wales’s leading RIBA practices. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with national housing developers and PLCs, contributing to the design and delivery of well-designed, technically sound homes across the UK.

You’ll be part of a supportive team of Technologists and Architects, working alongside three experienced Senior Technologists who will guide you through technical delivery and support your journey towards MCIAT chartership.

The Role:

  • Deliver detailed technical drawings and specifications for large-scale housing schemes.
  • Collaborate with national developers and PLCs on a variety of residential projects, including open market, affordable, and retirement living.
  • Engage in project stages from planning to technical delivery, ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and CDM obligations.
  • Utilise BIM software, ideally Revit, with training provided if necessary.

To Be Considered:

  • Worked as an Architectural Technologist on residential projects in UK architectural practice.
  • Ideally MCIAT qualified or actively working towards chartered status.
  • Technical and construction knowledge with a good understanding of current UK Building Regulations and CDM obligations.
  • Experience working on projects through RIBA Stages 4, 5, and 6.
  • Ability to prepare detailed working drawing packages and specifications.
  • Proficiency in BIM software, ideally Revit.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
