I’m recruiting for a multi-disciplinary property + construction consultancy with a long track record in the UK, built around a simple idea: improve the communities people live and work in. The role:
You’ll be the go-to engineer on a mix of small to medium projects (up to ~£50m), with a strong weighting towards:
- Structural / condition surveys, inspections, defect diagnosis and report writing.
- Intrusive + non-intrusive investigations and practical remediation advice.
- Design solutions across masonry, timber, RC and steel, plus foundations/basements where needed.
- Working with clients and design teams to keep scopes, deliverables and fees clear.
You’ll be out on site across London and the South East, so strong written English and confidence dealing with stakeholders matters.
What’s needed for the role?
- Chartered Structural Engineer (IStructE or ICE)
- Strong understanding of building construction + UK regs
- Comfortable owning workstreams independently, while still being a team player
- Solid experience with existing buildings, surveys, inspections and reports (this is key)
- Note: Some projects may require DBS and/or security clearance (BPSS / CTC / SC / DV).
