Are you an experienced HV Tendering Engineer ready to take the lead on some of the UK's most exciting and technically complex electrical infrastructure projects? This is a rare opportunity to join a growing, high performing engineering business working across BESS, Solar Parks, Data Centres, Industrial & Commercial, and 11kV-132kV infrastructure projects valued up to £15 million.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering proposals that drive innovation in the energy and power sector, a key growth area for the company. This is a senior-level position with genuine influence and visibility, working closely with the business development, design, and project management teams to deliver accurate, strategic, and commercially sound tenders. Responsibilities:
- Lead the tendering process for major HV electrical projects (11kV-132kV) across renewable and industrial sectors.
- Assess bid opportunities and perform bid/no-bid reviews.
- Evaluate project risks, technical challenges, and client requirements.
- Prepare and review technical and commercial tenders in collaboration with internal teams and subcontractors.
- Provide cost estimates, design input, and tender documentation within agreed deadlines.
- Mentor and support Tendering Engineers, ensuring consistency and technical excellence across all proposals.
- Liaise directly with clients, providing clear technical explanations and commercial clarity.
- Maintain and develop tender databases, pricing models, and reporting systems.
Experience required:
- HNC/HND (or higher) in Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience tendering or estimating within the HV/DNO or non-regulated electrical infrastructure sectors.
- Knowledge of HV & LV installations, switchgear, and HV systems (11k minimum but ideally 33kV and 132kV).
- Full right to work in the UK.
- Driving license.
