The Client:
Based out of their London office, this business is known across the UK and the rest of the world. They’ve organised exhibitions, summits and conferences for almost two decades. With that in mind, they certainly know what they’re doing and have won plenty of awards during their time!
They specialise in arranging pre-qualified 1-2-1 style meetings between c-suite executives and buyers and sellers. They also host conferences to discuss key industry topics with these high-level individuals across a wide variety of industries.
The Position:
This role is brand new for the organisation, a decision has been made to pass on responsibility and continue to build for the future and the Head of Sales is the way forward. This position is a role that will hold everything together, managing a team of circa 10 others that will include Event Director, Sales Managers and others. Your aim will be to support, guide and develop the team, hit key revenue targets, create ideas and drive the team forward.
Most HoS positions are ‘selling’ roles, not this; this role is strategic and commercial. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, passionate and can get the very best out of people. Ideally, you would have been involved in Events for a sustained period, we’re also looking for someone to have held a role like this, rather than stepping up.
The role is hybrid, 3 days a week in the office, the hours are flexible and the business is understanding, they use common sense when it comes to work-life balance.
This is a real chance to make the role yours, we’re looking for someone to hit the ground running and almost guide the leadership team to what this role should look like.
About you:
- Event experience across Exhibitions, Conferences and Summits
- Held a sales position previously
- Led teams and been in a like for like position
- Commercial and Strategic
- True Leader
- Passionate about supporting others
If this sounds like your type of role and want to hear more, please contact Ashley on the below details.
