Location: Manchester

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + bonus, hybrid working, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 5 percent employer pension, professional fees paid and a strong benefits package.

Known for a genuinely vibrant culture with regular socials, we are working with a growing multidisciplinary property consultancy of around 40 people, with a well-established and expanding Manchester office. The business has built a strong reputation for high quality technical delivery, long term client relationships and a working environment where people are trusted, supported and encouraged to progress.

They are now looking to appoint a Building Surveyor to join the Manchester team and play a key role in the continued growth of the Building Surveying service across the North West. This is a visible position within the business, working closely with senior leadership in Manchester and supporting the development of the wider surveying team. The role would suit a Chartered or Senior Chartered Building Surveyor ready to take on greater responsibility and influence.

The role offers a strong mix of professional building surveying, project work, client management and mentoring. You will deliver a broad range of instructions across industrial, office, retail and independent living sectors, while supporting junior surveyors and helping to grow client relationships.

Longer term, there is flexibility to progress into account management, business development or a more specialist technical route depending on your strengths and career ambitions.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a range of professional building surveying instructions including dilapidations, pre-acquisition surveys and technical due diligence.
  • Contribute to project work across industrial, office, retail and independent living sectors.
  • Support and mentor junior surveyors within the Manchester team.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, managing key accounts and delivering high quality advice.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across commercial portfolios.
  • Support business development activity and help grow the Building Surveying service.

  • MRICS qualified Building Surveyor.
  • Strong experience delivering professional and technical building surveying services.
  • Confident, organised and comfortable managing workload and client relationships.
