Architect – West Midlands (Option to work inside or outside of Birmingham) Hybrid working | Salary £35,000-£45,000
If you’re an Architect who likes variety, this one will suit you. This Architect role sits in a large, multi-discipline design practice where you won’t be stuck doing the same thing, on the same sector, with the same team, year after year. You’ll have the chance to move across healthcare, education, residential and commercial work, so your CV stays broad and your week stays interesting.
You’ll work across project stages too. That means you’ll build confidence on delivery, coordination, and technical detail while still being close enough to the design to enjoy the work.
It’s a Revit-led environment, so you’ll strengthen your BIM skills simply by being in the flow of live projects, with proper support around you.
What makes this practice a good fit is the setup. You’re not expected to do everything alone. There are experienced Architects, Technologists and wider in-house teams to lean on, which means you can take ownership of packages and learn faster, without the stress of being thrown in at the deep end. You’ll get to collaborate properly and solve problems with other people.
You’ll also get flexibility that actually helps. Hybrid working and a grown-up approach to hours means you can do your best work without your life being built around the office. And with a clear progression structure, you’ll know what you’re working towards and what “good” looks like.
On the benefits side, you’re looking at a strong holiday allowance that increases over time, a pension scheme, and added wellbeing support. There’s also support for professional subscriptions and development, so you’re not paying for career progression out of your own pocket. Bonus and extra perks are part of the package, too.
What you’ll need is straightforward: you’ll be ARB registered (or close with the right project experience), comfortable producing and coordinating technical information and some experience in design stages. Revit experience is ideal, but not the be-all and end-all.
