Konker are currently recruiting on behalf of a medium sized Building Services Consultancy based in Aztec West who are looking for a Graduate Building Services Engineer to assist in the design of Mechanical services on a range of projects. This would ideally be someone who has a Building Services specific degree, or similar, along the lines of the below:
- Architecture & Environmental Engineering
- Building Services Engineer
- Architectural Engineering
This company provides design solutions, surveys & reports, and site duties to a range of clients. They are a team of 10 talented Mechanical and Electrical Engineers who can also offer sustainability services like Dynamic Simulation Modelling, SBEM Compliance, ESG reporting, Energy Performance Certificates, and Sustainability Option Studies.
The company was founded in 2020 and despite facing the challenge of the Covid lockdown, they still managed to double in size and are now very busy in the following areas: Commercial, Retail, Education, Healthcare, Industrial, and Residential. They have worked on big shopping centres like Cabot Circus and St Davids, and projects up to £12 million.
They are a friendly bunch who often go on company socials. There’s no real hierarchy within the team, everyone is valued no matter what level they are at. You will be assigned a Senior/Associate Engineer as a mentor. They are more than happy to put you through courses including master’s degrees if there is a specific skill you’re wanting to learn. They offer hybrid working and will give you everything you need in order to be able to work from home. You’ll be expected in the office at least 2 days per week on the same days as your mentor. They also offer a yearly company bonus based on performance.
What are they looking for?
- Degree qualified in a related Building Services course.
- Ideally have an understanding or placement within the Building Services Design sector.
- Driving licence and car in order to attend meetings (transport costs covered by the business).
- Familiar with Bristol, South Wales and the Southwest.
- Able to use AutoCAD, IES, or Revit would be a huge advantage.
