BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Design Manager to join the Central region. Reporting to the Regional Design Manager, you will oversee the design management discipline, digital discipline, and establish and monitor robust strategies for new opportunities during pre-construction.

Your mission:

  • Manage the design process to deliver technically compliant, cost-efficient and coordinated design packages during both the pre-construction and project delivery stages.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, design team members and external consultants, creating a collaborative environment to deliver design information that meets the clients' requirements and conforms to building regulations.
  • Oversee a variety of contract types and multiple live projects, manage the design information release, production and approval of technical drawings, chair design workshops, coordinate complex design packages, and validate design details, adding value to the construction process.
  • Provide expert guidance and technical support, working closely with both clients and project teams to identify and mitigate risks, as well as ensure compliance with all statutory, legal, and planning requirements.
  • Assist with the selection and scope of suitable subcontractors for Contractor Design Portions and working drawings.

  • GCSEs+ HNC in Building Studies, Degree in Design Management or Architecture.
