We are seeking a motivated and talented Degree-Level Apprentice Electrical Engineer to join our team in Gateshead. What you will be doing
- Engineering Learning & Development
- Work under supervision to learn the fundamentals of electrical engineering, marine systems, and industry standards.
- Show enthusiasm for participating in engineering, manufacturing, projects, and service functions.
- Complete all apprenticeship academic requirements, assignments, and assessments on schedule.
- Electrical Design & Documentation
- Assist in producing electrical schematics, simple wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using 2D CAD tools.
- Support the creation and updating of 2D drawings, 3D models, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Help produce engineering documentation such as reports, manuals, test procedures, and change notes.
- Perform engineering calculations and data collection.
- Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Project & Process Support
- Contribute to estimating and delivering work packages.
- Apply company processes, QMS, and change control.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

We think you should have
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above).
- Level 3 qualification or higher, ideally in engineering or related field.
- Eligibility for enrolment on a Degree Apprenticeship programme.

- Clear and confident communication.
- Positive attitude and willingness to take on challenges.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Basic familiarity with CAD tools.
