Overview
Sales Director – Integrators and strategic partners: we are looking for a Sales Director to lead our sales engagement of sonar systems toward large system integrators and strategic partners within the AUV, ROV, and USV markets worldwide. This role is key to expanding our reach through indirect channels, driving revenue growth and strengthening our position with our payloads to the unmanned maritime industry. You will be responsible for building and managing high-impact partnerships by driving product and system sales through integrators, prime contractors, OEMs, and technology providers. The focus will be on our sonar systems which include synthetic aperture sonars, acoustic doppler current profilers, inertial navigation systems, multibeam echosounders and other systems. With Kongsberg Discovery’s broad portfolio, you will have the opportunity to offer complete solutions as part of the final offering. You will work closely with an experienced global sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop relationships with key system integrators, OEMs, and strategic partners
- Drive sales from prospecting to contract negotiation and closure
- Develop go-to-market strategies and co-selling initiatives
- Lead complex bids, proposals, and solution packaging together with integrators
- Act as the main liaison for partners, ensuring trust and long-term collaboration
- Explore new markets and applications for our solutions
- Prepare quotations, manage contracts, and report on sales forecasts and KPIs
- Represent the company by presenting papers and leading product demonstrations at key industry events
- Provide market insights and feedback to refine strategy and product offerings
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of international sales experience within maritime technology
- Track record of building business with system integrators and strategic partners
- Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to prepare, deliver, and negotiate complex proposals
- Applied knowledge of sonar systems and unmanned vehicles, including MCM, CUI, and seabed mapping
- Higher technical education (Bachelor or above) or relevant naval operational background
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with CRM platforms (MS CRM, Salesforce, PartnerStack or similar)
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with strong cultural awareness
- Travel internationally to meet partners and attend industry events

Work Location
