The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 Β£ per year.
Due to continuing growth, we are looking to increase our team with a new position for an additional estimator to assist in the rising number of tender enquiries we are receiving and to develop new clients. As part of the Contracting Department, the suitable candidate will be working with current staff across all sectors of this department including Estimating, Contracts and Quality Management.
The role will involve but not be limited to the following:
- Calculating costs based on information provided and creating detailed estimates
- Interpreting plans, specifications, and drawings to determine project costs
- Using Bluebeam software to provide take-offs
- Scheduling and holding Tender Review Meetings
- Using computer based system Evision to log opportunities and update as and when required
- Logging of tenders, reviewing documents and sending out to suppliers for quotes
- Follow up with suppliers on quote return to achieve tender return dates
- Liaising with our external designer on tender projects to determine floor slab designs for tendering
- Follow up on tender submissions for position on same
- Document Control as per site project requirements, submission of QA Docs
- Logging of daily concrete testing results and issuing to our clients
- Data entry and administration

Key skills and attributes:
- Logical and well organised with ability to prioritise
- Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Evision and Bluebeam systems preferable but not necessary as full training will be provided
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good numeracy skills
- Ability to take ownership of their duties and work as an individual or as part of a team
- Good commercial skills and awareness
Salary: Competitive Salary, depending on experience
Annual Leave: 20 days annual leave plus statutory public holidays. Please note that some of the annual leave is pre-allocated to cover the Christmas closure.
Work Hours: Monday to Thursday 09:00 - 17:00 & Friday 09:00 - 15:00, 45 minutes lunch break each day.
Additional Information: Workplace Pension provided through Workers Pension Trust. Life insurance cover for all current employees.
