The Opportunity: We are supporting a financial services client in the appointment of an Interim Training Consultant to support a critical Collections & Recoveries training programme within a regulated financial services environment. This role requires a hands-on training professional with proven experience designing, reviewing, enhancing and delivering training frameworks within Collections and Recoveries functions. The successful candidate will assess existing training materials, identify gaps, implement improvements and deliver high-quality training programmes to operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement Collections & Recoveries training frameworks.
  • Review existing training materials and learning pathways, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Conduct training needs analysis and recommend enhancements to improve operational performance.
  • Create engaging training content, guides, workshops, assessments and supporting materials.
  • Deliver virtual and face-to-face training sessions to new starters and existing employees.
  • Assess training effectiveness through quality outcomes, learner feedback and performance metrics.
  • Work closely with Operational, Quality Assurance and Compliance teams to identify performance gaps and develop targeted training solutions.
  • Support change and transformation initiatives through the creation and delivery of training programmes.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to frontline colleagues and Team Leaders.
  • Ensure training content remains accurate, relevant and aligned with regulatory and business requirements.
  • Produce training reports, recommendations and management information for key stakeholders.
  • Support the embedding of best practice across Collections & Recoveries operations.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Trainer, Training Consultant, Learning & Development Specialist or Training Manager within Financial Services.
  • Strong practical experience within Collections & Recoveries is essential.
  • Experience designing and implementing training frameworks and learning programmes.
  • Previous experience reviewing, analysing and improving existing training frameworks.
  • Strong facilitation and training delivery experience across both virtual and classroom environments.
  • Experience creating training materials, workshops, assessments and supporting documentation.
  • Ability to identify performance gaps and create targeted learning interventions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with Operational, Quality, Risk and Compliance teams.
  • Experience supporting business change, transformation or operational improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and coaching skills.
  • Previous experience within Motor Finance is highly desirable.
  • Ability to start immediately.
