Technology Solutions & Integrations Contractor

Why this role matters

Konekt is at an exciting stage in its technology journey.

With AWS‑supported operational platforms alongside Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, we're continuing to modernise our technology landscape to create a more connected, efficient and scalable business.

As we transition day‑to‑day IT support to external partners and continue investing in our technology environment, we're looking for someone who can take ownership of how our systems, platforms and infrastructure work together.

This role is about much more than keeping the lights on.

You'll ensure our technology ecosystem remains secure, integrated and easy to use, while continually looking for opportunities to automate processes, simplify workflows and introduce smarter ways of working.

You’ll bring curiosity, commercial thinking and a practical understanding of emerging technologies, including AI, to help solve real business challenges.

Simply put, you’ll make sure all the technology puzzle pieces fit together and continue to evolve as the business grows.

The Role

We’re looking for a hands‑on Technology Solutions & Integrations Contractor who enjoys solving business problems through technology.

This is an infrastructure and technology environment‑focused role where you’ll take ownership of ensuring our core platforms, business systems and cloud technologies work seamlessly together.

Rather than simply maintaining existing systems, you’ll continually look for opportunities to improve them through automation, systems integration and practical technology solutions.

Working closely with business stakeholders and our outsourced technology partners, you’ll identify opportunities to improve efficiency, eliminate manual processes and create scalable solutions that support our continued growth.

During the first quarter, a key priority will be supporting the transition of day‑to‑day IT support to a Managed Service Provider, ensuring responsibilities, service expectations and governance are clearly defined.

You’ll act as the bridge between business needs, technology solutions and delivery, translating operational challenges into practical improvements that enhance both employee experience and business performance.

You’ll also play a key role in supporting office relocations and workplace technology projects across Reading and Wales, ensuring a seamless technology experience throughout each transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of the day‑to‑day technology environment, ensuring platforms remain reliable, secure and fit for purpose.
  • Leading systems integration and automation initiatives to improve business efficiency.
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve user experience and eliminate manual tasks.
  • Exploring the practical application of automation and emerging AI technologies where they can deliver measurable business value.
  • Supporting the transition of day‑to‑day IT support to a Managed Service Provider, ensuring clear ownership, governance and service expectations.
  • Coordinating office relocation and workplace technology projects with minimal disruption to users.
  • Managing technology projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets and business outcomes are achieved.
  • Acting as the link between business teams and external technology providers to deliver practical, scalable technology solutions.
  • Reviewing the wider technology landscape to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, standardisation and better system integration.
  • Ensuring security, governance and ISO 27001 standards remain embedded throughout the technology environment.
  • Supporting technology decision‑making by balancing business needs, technical capability and long‑term scalability.
  • What We’re Looking For

We want a highly capable technology professional who enjoys understanding how technology fits together and is naturally curious about finding better ways of working.

You’ll be commercially minded, delivery focused and confident working across infrastructure, cloud platforms, business applications and external technology partners.

You won’t simply maintain existing systems—you’ll continually challenge how they can work better.

You’ll have the technical confidence to understand how AWS, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, reporting platforms and business applications interact, while remaining focused on delivering practical outcomes for the business.

You’ll also be someone who keeps pace with emerging technologies and can identify where automation, integration and AI can genuinely improve productivity, user experience and operational efficiency.

Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll regularly translate business requirements into practical technology solutions while working with stakeholders across multiple functions.

Experience

  • Experience delivering technology transformation and infrastructure improvement projects.
  • Strong understanding of systems integration, business applications and cloud‑based technology environments.
  • Experience implementing automation, workflow and process improvement solutions.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft 365, AWS and modern Saa S platforms.
  • Experience working with outsourced technology providers and Managed Service Providers.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining ISO 27001 accredited environments.
  • Strong understanding of information security controls, supplier governance and technology risk management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong project management and delivery capability.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
  • A naturally curious approach to technology, with an interest in emerging technologies and the practical application of AI to solve business challenges.

What You’ll Get in Return

This is a six‑month interim assignment offering a competitive daily rate.

You’ll play a key role in shaping Konekt’s technology environment during an exciting period of change, working across infrastructure, cloud platforms, automation, systems integration and business transformation to deliver lasting improvements that will support the organisation's future growth.
