Working closely with the Business Controller, you will act as the finance lead for our branch network, partnering with Branch Managers to drive performance through insightful reporting, forecasting, planning and commercial challenge, while ensuring strong financial control and governance.Alongside this, you will lead the Accounts Receivable function across our UK and Ireland entities, managing a team of four and driving the continuous improvement of cash collection, credit risk management and working capital performance. This is more than a traditional Credit Management role. We are looking for someone who can bring fresh thinking, challenge established processes and help shape the future direction of the function through new ideas, stronger controls and a focus on delivering measurable results.The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the confidence to influence, challenge and drive change across both finance and operational teams.What You'll Be DoingFinancial Management & Business PartneringAct as the finance lead for a portfolio of branches across the UK & IrelandManage key month-end reporting activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, prepayments, accruals and financial controlsPrepare and present monthly management accounts and performance reportingLead branch P&L reviews, providing insight, challenge and support to operational leadersDrive forecasting, budgeting and annual planning processes at an operational levelAnalyse branch profitability, productivity and utilisation to identify improvement opportunitiesDevelop and maintain KPI reporting and Power BI dashboardsSupport internal and external audits and ensure compliance with company controls and policiesAccounts Receivable & Working Capital LeadershipLead the Accounts Receivable function across the UK and Ireland, managing a team of fourDrive improvements in cash collection, debtor management and working capital performanceBring fresh ideas and best practice to enhance AR processes, controls and customer payment behavioursOwn and maintain the annual Credit Policy, ensuring alignment with local and Group requirementsApprove customer credit limits and payment terms within delegated authority levelsManage complex customer disputes, escalations and credit risk mattersDeliver cash collection and working capital forecastingTrack and report key AR performance metrics while developing a high-performing Credit Control teamQualificationsWhat We're Looking ForFully qualified ACCA or CIMA accountantMinimum 5 years' relevant experience in finance, management accounting or financial controlExperience leading and developing teamsStrong commercial and business partnering skills with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholdersExperience of forecasting, budgeting, month-end reporting and financial analysisKnowledge of Accounts Receivable, credit management and working capital processesAdvanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI or similar reporting toolsSAP 4/Hana experience desirableWillingness to travel periodically across the UK & IrelandAdditional InformationKonecranes is committed to supporting the professional growth and development of all employees.We offerA competitive basic salaryAnnual bonusContributory pension, life assurance scheme and income protection insurance25 days annual leave, plus bank holidaysEmployee shares save schemeBuy/sell holidaysRetail, travel and leisure discountsEmployee assistance programmeThis role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, influence business performance, and develop further within a successful global organisation.Konecranes moves what matters.
