TBA Group develops market-leading, large-scale software solutions for the global distribution and supply chain sector. As we continue our ambitious growth over the next five years, we are looking to strengthen our QA capability with the addition of a QA Analyst to our Doncaster team. We are seeking a mid-level QA Analyst with hands-on experience in software testing. This role is centred on high-quality manual testing, with an emphasis on owning test activities across features and releases. You’ll play a key role in ensuring product quality, working closely with Development and Delivery teams, and helping shape QA practices. We offer hybrid working, but you will be expected to attend the Doncaster office at least twice per week.
While the role is primarily manual, exposure to automated testing—particularly using Playwright—is highly desirable, and you’ll be encouraged to contribute to or expand automation efforts over time.
Key Responsibilities- Own end-to-end testing for features, from requirement analysis through to release
- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases and test scenarios
- Perform exploratory, regression, integration testing with minimal supervision
- Support UAT testing alongside Business Analysts
- Identify, prioritise, and clearly document defects, ensuring effective communication with developers
- Actively participate in sprint ceremonies, providing QA input during planning and refinement
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria
- Validate bug fixes and ensure high-quality releases through thorough regression coverage
- Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and documentation
- Support and gradually contribute to test automation efforts, particularly with Playwright where applicable
- Collaborate and support other QA team members where needed
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on manual testing
- Solid understanding of QA principles, methodologies, and testing types
- Proven ability to independently plan and execute testing activities for features or releases
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong experience writing clear, structured test cases and detailed bug reports
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., DevOps, Jira)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Practical experience with Playwright
- Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman or similar tools)
- Basic programming/scripting skills
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how testing fits into them
- Experience contributing to or maintaining automated test suites
