Job Description
We are recruiting an electrically-qualified Crane Service Engineer to join our team based in northeast Scotland.

Your main responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electric overhead travelling cranes
- Trouble-shoot equipment breakdowns
- Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues
- Complete appropriate documentation through your mobile device
Role details
This role reports to the Operations Manager. The role involves maintenance, repair and upgrade of customers\’ lifting equipment, primarily overhead gantry cranes. The work is varied and two days are rarely the same.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- Apprentice-trained (or equivalent) and conversant with electrical engineering disciplines
- Mechanical knowledge
- Previous experience with overhead cranes and hoists is preferred, but maintenance, repair and servicing in an industrial environment is essential
- Based on 39 hours per week, Mon-Fri; weekend overtime earns double time
- Great communication skills
- Personable with regular customer contact
- Health & safety awareness
- Ability to work at height
- Willingness to work extra hours – paid overtime
- Hold a current driving licence
- Willingness to work on the on-call rota with an enhanced premium
- Due to customer locations in Scotland, expect to be away ~30 nights per year; accommodation and subsistence provided
