Overview
In this role you will oversee the day-to-day management of the company vehicle fleet to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-efficient operations. You will support operational teams by handling procurement, maintenance, compliance, and supplier relations, while driving efficiency and sustainability improvements. The position offers visibility across fleet performance with opportunities to shape policy and governance. Responsibilities
- Fleet Administration: maintain accurate records, manage orders, deliveries, disposals, transfers and short-term hires; coordinate allocations; maintain driver and vehicle documentation; support fleet policies.
- Vehicle Compliance & Governance: ensure statutory and company compliance (MOTs, road tax, servicing, inspections); monitor deadlines; support FORS and audits.
- Supplier & Contract Management: liaison with leasing, hire, maintenance, fuel card, telematics, and insurance partners; monitor performance; resolve issues; negotiate discounts per global agreements.
- Incident & Insurance Management: handle incident reporting/investigation; liaise with insurers and repairers; track trends and implement reduction initiatives; analyze claims and costs.
- Fleet Reporting & Data Analysis: produce regular fleet performance reports/dashboards; monitor utilization, costs, spend, fuel, driver behavior; identify efficiency/cost-reduction opportunities; assist budgeting and planning.
- Sustainability & Fleet Strategy: support transition to lower-emission/electric vehicles; monitor sustainability metrics; contribute to EV projects and charging infrastructure; align with global fleet goals; interface with health and safety for CO2 data.
- Driver Engagement & Support: guide drivers on policies; present at inductions; drive safety and cost-reduction initiatives; work with operations to resolve issues.
Key requirements
- Experience in fleet management, fleet administration, transport, procurement or vehicle operations.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills; highly organized.
