We are looking for a VB Inspector – Escalators to join our Heathrow team on a night shift pattern. This role focuses on the inspection, testing, and verification of escalators to ensure they meet KONE safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Location and Hours
- Location: Heathrow | KONE
- Hours: 40 hours – Nights, Monday–Thursday
- Option 1: 20:00–07:00
- Option 2: 19:00–06:00
- 1 hour unpaid lunch
- Holiday: 20 days + bank holidays
Responsibilities
- Carry out VB inspections and testing on escalators
- Identify defects, wear, and safety risks
- Ensure compliance with KONE standards and industry regulations
- Complete accurate inspection reports using KONE systems
- Work closely with service and repair teams to plan corrective actions
- Support safety audits and site procedures
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and safe working
Qualifications
- Experience working on escalators in a service/inspection environment
- Good technical understanding of escalator components and safety circuits
- Ability to follow inspection processes and report clearly
- Strong focus on safety and quality
- Able to work night shifts Mon–Thu
- Full UK driving licence and ability to meet Heathrow clearance
