In this role, you will need to understand customers' buildings, anticipate future needs, and position modernisation as a planned lifecycle investment that improves safety, performance, and reliability.
You would be responsible for proactively engaging with existing customers to identify opportunities to improve the safety, reliability, performance, and longevity of their lift equipment through modernisation solutions.
The role focuses on building customer relationships, understanding clients' operational needs, and generating qualified opportunities for the modernisation sales team.
Working closely with service, engineering, and sales colleagues, this role will help customers plan future investment while supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Approaching On and Off service Portfolio customers by telephone, such as leads and quotation follow-ups to discuss the condition and lifecycle of their lift assets.
- Identify ageing equipment and discuss the benefits of lift modernisation, including improved reliability, safety, energy efficiency, compliance, and passenger experience.
- Qualify customer interest and arrange appointments for Modernisation salespeople or prepare quotations where appropriate.
- Work alongside Area Service Managers / service engineers to identify potential upgrade opportunities from maintenance visits.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and opportunities within the company's CRM system.
- Create Asset Management Plans and present initial findings to customers
- Follow up on previous quotations and recommendations
- Set up call campaigns to bring in leads
- Achieve agreed KPIs for customer engagement, opportunity generation, and conversion.
- Key Skills & Experience
- You are resilient, independent, proactive and are confident on the phone, so experience in a telesales position or business development would be an advantage.
You are competent in CRM systems (we work with Salesforce).
You will be customer focused, able to communicate well and understand the needs of customers and the importance of providing solutions to satisfy short and long-term objectives.
A technical background would help but is not essential as training will be given, so you are confident discussing basic solutions/products offerings with customers.
