KONE is currently looking for a Mechanical engineer to join our Escalator Installation team in Keighley with projects nationwide.
Key accountabilities at the role:
- Is responsible for safe, high quality, and timely installation of the equipment following KONE installation methods.
- Reports installation progress to the installation supervisor.
- Is responsible for receiving, checking and storage of materials.
- Keeps the installation tooling safe and in good condition, ensures the security of the delivered equipment, is responsible for the safe working environment.
- Submits reports of timekeeping, quality feedback forms and warranty claims for material.
- Contributes to the ongoing improvement of the product by feedback to the supply line.
- Manages on-site communication with the customer for day to day installation and logistical activities.
- Communicates with the builder to prevent interruptions to installation work.
- May be required by the supervisor to give training/coaching to trainees and helpers.
To qualify for this vacancy we would expect you to have:
- NVQ3 in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Strong customer skills.
- Excellent health and safety knowledge.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Clean UK driving licence (we provide KONE van).
