This role is ideal for someone looking to **kick-start their career in the lifts and escalators industry** with a global leader. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and industry qualifications while supporting the maintenance and repair of equipment at one of the UK’s busiest and most dynamic locations.At KONE, we invest in our people – this is your chance to build a long-term career with excellent development and progression opportunities. ## What You’ll Be Doing* Supporting qualified engineers with the maintenance, servicing, and repair of lifts and escalators across Heathrow* Assisting with fault finding and troubleshooting to ensure equipment remains safe and reliable* Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance under supervision* Working in line with KONE safety standards and Heathrow airport procedures* Building strong relationships with customers and on-site stakeholders* Developing your skills through structured training and on-the-job coaching* Accurately recording work using KONE digital tools and systems## ## What We’re Looking For* A strong interest in engineering and a desire to build a career in the lift & escalator industry* Part-qualified (e.g., working towards NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) – preferred* Some mechanical/electrical experience or relevant qualification – advantageous* A proactive, hands-on approach with willingness to learn* Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset* Ability to work effectively in a team within a fast-paced airport environment* Full UK driving licence – preferred* Flexibility to work the 4 on 4 off, 6am–6pm shift pattern and meet airport security requirements ## What We Offer* Structured development plan to support progression to qualified Engineer* Industry-leading training and mentoring* Competitive salary with overtime opportunities* 25 days holiday + bank holidays* Pension, life assurance, and KONE employee benefits* Career progression within a global organisation* Opportunity to work at a high-profile, exciting site **Please note:**This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. #J-18808-Ljbffr
