The CSE Solution Engineer provides technical support to the sales team to develop, sell and successfully implement KONE products and service solutions that meet customer's needs.
Responsibilities
- Own the order handling process: define specifications, details, dimensions, CAD and layout drawings, estimate installation and delivery times and costs.
- Manage customer technical questions and support the Sales and Operations teams with all technical issues.
- Analyze customer technical needs and develop proposals that outline how KONE products and services can provide clear solutions.
- Act as customer contact for technical questions and participate in planning/specification meetings with contractors, architects and owners.
- Attend meetings and coordinate with the project design team (developers, architects, main contractors and structural/consulting engineers).
- Provide technical and costing support for the sales process and coordinate specifications and delivery times with the supply line, sourcing or local subcontractors.
- Ensure proposed solutions meet codes, regulations and safety requirements and control costs for each project.
- Provide all in‑house engineering and technical advice across the product and process range.
- Carry out traffic analysis as required.
- Conduct technical site surveys, organize the order process and documentation and create a project plan to keep the project on schedule.
- Manage drawings and related documents, specify materials for KONE and local suppliers, and adjust specifications based on contracts and variations.
- Organize purchasing of required materials, conduct site inspections and complete the handover process to the Operations team.
- Maintain adherence to company ISO procedures.
Qualifications
- Engineering/technical background: Diploma/Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent lift engineering experience.
- Project management experience.
- Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus with attention to detail.
- Basic Auto CAD experience (training provided). Revit & Navisworks experience desirable.
- IT literacy and fluent in Microsoft Office 365.
- Previous elevator industry experience and capability to survey and assess existing equipment preferable.
- Enthusiastic about engineering and eager to learn.
