Technical Surveyor – Lifts & Modernisation
We are looking for an experienced Technical Surveyor to join our team, supporting lift modernisation projects across London. This is an exciting opportunity for a lift professional with strong technical knowledge and a passion for identifying innovative solutions that improve the performance, safety, and reliability of lift equipment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed technical surveys of existing lift equipment to assess condition, configuration, and performance.
- Identify opportunities for lift modernisation and recommend suitable upgrade solutions.
- Produce accurate survey reports and technical documentation to support project proposals and delivery.
- Work closely with sales, engineering, and operations teams to develop customer-focused solutions.
- Build strong relationships with customers and act as a trusted technical expert throughout the survey process.
- Support escalator surveys where required (experience beneficial but not essential).
Qualifications
- Strong lift industry experience with a solid technical understanding of lift systems and components.
- Previous experience within lift modernisation, repairs, installation, or technical surveying.
- Ability to assess equipment condition and determine practical modernisation solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong reporting skills.
- Good communication and customer-facing skills.
- Escalator experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Flexible approach to working hours and locations.
Location & Travel
Role predominantly covers Central London, with flexibility to support other areas if required. A company vehicle is not required; a travel allowance will be provided to support travel across the region.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00
Friday: 08:00 – 15:00 (38-hour working week). Flexibility is required, as some customers may request surveys to be carried out outside of normal working hours, including occasional evening or night-time visits.
