The Bid Writer plays a pivotal role in securing new business by producing high-quality, persuasive tender submissions for lift and escalator contracts. Working closely with sales, operations, and technical teams, the Bid Writer ensures all proposals are tailored to client requirements, technically sound, and aligned with company strategy.
You will manage multiple tenders simultaneously and be responsible for managing the entire tendering process. To ensure success, you will maintain internal communication with colleagues and team managers, gather the necessary input, and collaboratively develop a winning strategy—then turn it into a compelling proposal. You know how to translate the client's requirements and wishes into commercial and persuasive texts to create winning tenders.
Key responsibilities:- Collect all the necessary information to clearly respond to the client's questions and write a comprehensive and winning (European) tender.
- Determine the direction of the content in consultation with colleagues.
- Prepare the pricing proposal as part of the tender using the pricing tool.
- Monitor various tender platforms and identify opportunities.
- Actively seek new tender, PQQ & framework opportunities.
- Manage the entire process from identifying and registering to submitting the tender.
- Present the tender to the client when needed.
- Translate client requirements into texts and calculations.
- Interpret tender documents and identify key deliverables, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with various departments.
- Plan and track deadlines.
- Maintain an overview of bids and evaluate won/lost bids.
- Transfer qualified sales opportunities to Salesforce.
- Collaborative team player, and results-oriented.
- Sales / Business Administration is very beneficial.
- Commercial insight, tact, and coordination skills.
- Capable of performing complex calculations.
- Excellent written command of English.
- Experience in submitting tenders.
- Excel knowledge and CRM (Salesforce is beneficial).
