We are looking for a Baker / Pastry specialist in Breads and Pastries who can manage the daily operations of the bakery station, producing high-quality breads, pastries, and desserts while ensuring consistency, hygiene, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Weigh and measure ingredients accurately using measuring cups and spoons to ensure consistent product quality.
- Mix ingredients by hand or with an electric mixer to form dough or batter for breads and pastries.
- Roll and shape dough using rolling pins, lamination techniques, dough sheeters, and cut dough into uniform portions with knives, dividers, or cookie cutters.
- Mold dough into desired shapes and place it in greased or floured pans, trimming overlapping edges with a knife for neat presentation.
- Check production schedules to determine the variety and quantity of baked goods required each day.
- Spread or sprinkle toppings on loaves or specialty items before placing dough in the oven for baking.
- Mix ingredients to prepare pastries and blend colours for icings, shaped ornaments, and decorative statuaries.
- Collaborate effectively with team members while working independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain attention to detail to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Communicate clearly with team members to coordinate baking tasks and production flow.
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in baking or pastry preparation.
- Good product knowledge of breads and pastries to support quality baking outcomes.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
