This is an exciting opportunity to join the opening team of a brand-new Koncept Coffee store in Kentish Town and help shape the standards and culture from day one. Perfect for someone who wants to grow with a new specialty coffee brand.
We’re looking for a hands‑on Assistant Café Manager to help lead daily operations, drive coffee quality, and support the Store Manager in running a high‑performing specialty coffee shop. This is not a trainee role. You must be confident running busy shifts, managing bar flow, and coaching baristas to high standards.
What You’ll Do- Lead shifts and act as senior person when Store Manager is off‑site
- Run bar & front‑of‑house during peak service (200–300 coffees/day)
- Maintain top coffee standards: espresso, milk, latte art & filter
- Train and coach baristas on speed, workflow & customer service
- Handle customer issues professionally and build strong regulars
- Support stock control, waste reduction & equipment care
- Ensure opening/closing procedures and daily checklists are followed
- Support brand standards, social media content & guest coffee programme
- 2+ years experience in specialty coffee or busy café environment
- Confident using La Marzocco machines & Mahlkönig grinders
- Can run a shift independently without hand-holding
- Strong leadership and communication skills
