Your Role as a Support Worker
You’ll be part of a dedicated, hands‑on team supporting individuals with a range of complex needs such as Autism, Learning disabilities, Mental health conditions, & Challenging behaviour. To help the individual live safely and independently in their own homes. Your work will make a direct and lasting impact.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting individuals with essential daily tasks such as cooking, personal care, cleaning, and budgeting
- Encouraging independence and building confidence through meaningful activities and community access
- Being a calm, reliable presence during difficult times, offering emotional reassurance and structure
- Promoting routines and relationships that help people feel safe, respected, and included
- Monitoring and recording progress, recognising and celebrating small wins every day
- Working regular 12-hour shifts — including waking nights — to provide consistent and high-quality care
What We’re Looking For
- A Full UK (manual) driving licence
- A minimum of one year’s experience working in care or support (desirable)
- Compassion, resilience, and emotional intelligence
- Confidence working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge
- Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping
- Flexibility to work across services in Shropshire and Staffordshire
- A team‑first attitude and commitment to delivering person‑centred care

Additional Information
- This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. All criminal convictions, including spent ones, must be declared.
