About the Role & Client

As a Healthcare Assistant at Komplex Care, you’ll be providing care and support to our client during the night, ensuring they are kept safe and comfortable. The child may have brain injury, complex needs, PEG feeding, nil by mouth care, suctioning, personal care, and medication administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Medical Support: Assist with suctioning, PEG feeding and medication administration.
  • Health Monitoring: Support the child with responding appropriately to medical emergencies.
  • Personal Care & Mobility: Assist with moving and handling and daily personal care routines.
  • Educational Support: Support the child’s learning, development, and engagement within the classroom environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, healthcare professionals, and family members to provide consistent, high-quality care.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience with children with complex needs.
  • Experience in medical or complex care for children.
  • Knowledge of PEG feeding and suctioning.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong observational skills.
  • Ability to follow care plans and therapeutic programmes.
  • Compassion, resilience and flexibility.
  • Confidence in providing care to children with complex needs.
  • Warm & bubbly approach, willing to engage and show empathy.
  • A team-first attitude and commitment to delivering person-centred care.

Qualifications

Level 2 or 3 NVQ/QCF in health care is desirable.
