Role Overview

You’ll work as part of a dedicated, hands‑on team supporting individuals with complex needs, helping them live safely and independently in their own homes.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with daily tasks such as cooking, personal care, cleaning, and budgeting.
  • Encourage independence and build confidence through meaningful activities and community access.
  • Act as a calm, reliable presence during difficult times, offering emotional reassurance and structure.
  • Promote routines and relationships that help people feel safe, respected, and included.
  • Monitor and record progress, recognizing and celebrating small wins daily.
  • Work regular 12‑hour shifts, including waking nights, to provide consistent high‑quality care.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year’s experience working in care or support (desirable).
  • Compassion, resilience, and emotional intelligence.
  • Confidence working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviours.
  • Basic IT skills for communication and record‑keeping.
  • A team‑first attitude and commitment to delivering person‑centred care.
