About Komplex Health

Komplex Health is the clinical governance and workforce development division responsible for supporting the safe, high-quality delivery of complex care services. Komplex Health is part of the Komplex Group of companies and provides clinical leadership, nurse education and specialist training that enable individuals with complex health needs, disabilities and long-term conditions to live safely and independently in their own homes and communities.

At Komplex Health, we deliver tailored, clinically-led solutions to support individuals, families and commissioners across a range of health and care needs. From accredited training and clinical oversight to Personal Health Budget (PHB) management, operational support and recruitment, our flexible services are designed around real-world challenges.

Whether preparing for hospital discharge, building safe home environments or developing care teams, Komplex Health empowers people with the skills, structure and confidence needed to deliver high-quality, personalised care.

Services support individuals funded through NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC), Personal Health Budgets (PHB), Local Authority funding and private arrangements, ensuring care remains person-centred, safe and outcome-focused.

Our work is guided by four core values:

  • Kinetic: We are dynamic and forward-moving, leading healthcare with vision, innovation and shared knowledge to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Kindness: Every interaction is rooted in kindness, creating supportive environments where people feel respected, valued and understood.
  • Key: We unlock opportunities through communication and knowledge, enabling individuals to reach their goals and improve their quality of life.
  • Kinship: We care for others as we would want our own families cared for, building trusted relationships that support connection and wellbeing.

The Role

Komplex Health is seeking an experienced confident Clinical Nurse Educator to support the continued growth of our service. This role plays a key part in ensuring that care teams delivering high-dependency care in the community are equipped with the clinical knowledge, skills and confidence needed to provide safe, effective and person-centred care.

Working directly within patients' homes and community settings, you will deliver clinical training, mentor care staff and support competency development across complex care packages. The role combines practical clinical education with governance, care planning support and quality improvement. This is not solely a classroom-based training position. Instead, the role focuses on real-world clinical practice, supporting staff through hands-on coaching, mentorship and competency development in the environments where care is delivered.

You will work closely with families, support workers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure care is safe, responsive and aligned with best practice while promoting independence, dignity and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical training and competency assessments to nurses, healthcare assistants and support workers.
  • Provide structured teaching sessions alongside practical, hands-on coaching within service users’ homes.
  • Support care teams delivering complex and high dependency care packages to develop competence and clinical confidence.
  • Visit complex care packages to observe practice and support safe clinical delivery.
  • Provide mentorship, clinical guidance and supervision to healthcare teams delivering community-based care.
  • Support the development, drafting, implementation and review of clinical care plans, protocols and risk assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical leads, operations managers and multidisciplinary teams to maintain safe service delivery.
  • Ensure training and clinical practice align with NICE guidance, CQC standards and NMC professional frameworks.
  • Support incident reviews, safeguarding processes and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of training delivery, competency assessments and workforce development.
  • Contribute to ongoing clinical governance, learning and service improvement across Komplex Health.
  • Deliver training across key areas including:
  • Medication management and administration
  • Infection prevention and control (IPC)
  • Clinical risk recognition and escalation
  • Catheter care and bladder management
  • Wound care and pressure ulcer prevention
  • PEG feeding and nutritional support
  • High dependency clinical care
  • Tracheostomy care and ventilated care where required

About You

  • Registered Nurse (Adult, Mental Health or Learning Disability) with active NMC registration.
  • Strong experience supporting complex care, continuing healthcare or high dependency care packages.
  • Experience mentoring, supervising or developing healthcare staff.
  • Experience developing or reviewing clinical care plans, documentation and risk assessments.
  • Strong communication, coaching and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent written English and computer literacy skills, with confidence using digital systems to record training, competencies and clinical documentation.
  • Confidence supporting teams within community or domiciliary care environments.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Clinical experience in areas including:
  • Medication management
  • Infection prevention and control
  • Wound care and pressure ulcer prevention
  • PEG feeding and nutritional support
  • High dependency or complex clinical care
  • Teaching qualification (Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent).
  • Experience working within Personal Health Budget (PHB) services.
  • Experience supporting Continuing Healthcare (CHC) services or community complex care.
  • Background in ICU, respiratory care, neuro rehabilitation, community nursing or specialist homecare services.
  • Experience supporting clinical governance, audit processes or workforce development programmes.
  • If you are a nurse who is passionate about developing others, improving clinical standards and shaping the future of complex care delivered in the community, we would love to hear from you. Join Komplex Health and help deliver safe, empowering and life-enhancing care for the people we support.
